VOLUNTEER GUIDE
NOMA KC is very excited to bring the Project Pipeline Architecture and Design Justice Camp to Kansas City this summer. Our Pipeline program committee has worked to bring a quality experience to the students in our community but we are relying on the support of volunteer mentors to help bring this program to fruition. If you would like to join us this summer please look over the position descriptions and let us know what works best for you!

Volunteer
ROLE
We are looking for volunteers excited to work hands-on with students of both middle and high school ages. Volunteers will provide instructional support to the main camp coordinators and work closely with 5-6 students throughout the day to guide them through the various activities of the camp

Other responsibilities include:

Supervise students during breakout sessions and site visits

Distribute learning and construction materials for each session

Assemble support materials before each session

Guide students through the design and build “Process” for personal and communal projects

Help facilitate and implement design initiatives during breakout sessions

Assist team leaders with core programming and documentation

Support preparation for upcoming activities
Time commitment
-
Participate in volunteer onboarding- 2 hours (virtual/ in-person) on July 19th, the week prior to the camp.

4 hours minimum time commitment on the camp day. Volunteering on both days of the camp is not required but encouraged!
